I have found that just by going into the search screen it thinks you are doing a search. So before you can even do an initial search you have to wait 60 seconds lol

The search is presently having some troubles. I'm trying to get them worked out. In the meantime you'll probably continue to get that error...

Google has an option to search specific sites with no waiting at all. Forum search is actually obsolete.

Thats not entirely true. The forum search indexes all 700,000+ posts, plus the groups, and articles. Google presently only has about 50,000 pages of the site indexed. So while it does work well in certain instances, it isn't searching the entire database like the forum search (when its working properly) does.

I've been having the same problem as haggard with the search feature. Now I know to wait 60 seconds if it says to to do a search. As for the search being obsolete, I think it works good enough. Of all the schtuff on this site it has to search through, it seems to do pretty well, at least for me.
