    Cool Got a new truck! Finally!!

    Seeing as how my S-10 won't pass NYS inspection anymore, it was time for a new truck.

    03 1500 Silverado, 4wd, 5.3L. 60,000miles, one owner, driving by a old man all of its life.

    Nice truck! You're gonna love the 5.3. Power, with great mileage. My 04 will get close to 20 on the highway with 2 3wheelers in the bed. 1/2 ton, standard cab, 8ft bed, 2wd....... You may be a bit diff with 4wd. They are extremely reliable trucks.

    nice looking truck, I have a 02 silverado with 4.3 v6 5-speed 2wd getting like 20 mpg, I like chevy pickups they hold up good.

    i miss my 2000 1500 std cab shortbed 4x4 with 5.3 i woudl average 20-24 and lord knows i dont have a light foot either.

    I think you will be very happy with that truck....I have a '99 Z71 extented cab long box w/5.3....I LOVE this truck !! My only complaint is it's a bit long for finding a place to park in the city...I find myself bypassing spaces that my previous GMC(shortbox) would have fit into. I too am surprised with the fuel economy on the highway.

    Nice truck Russ. I have almost the same one , 05 z71 . Have had it 2 years wih only a couple issues. Around 17-18mpg , 14-15 when pulling my enclosed trailer. My favorite truck owned to date. Congrats!
