What year CR480 engine for my 82 250r?

I have a 250r that needs some engine parts, I'd rather drop in a CR480 engine. I found one for $200 that is an 82.

Will this work? I was hoping to get the adapter mounting plates from bigbore if he still sells the kit.

82 and 83 had the same motors just dif chassis.

82 has a 4 speed transmission and 83 has the 5 speed.

I picked up the 82, came with the frame/350x front end. The rear end is a trike swingarm I believe. Maybe 350x?

Wish it was 5 speed, but i figure it will still be plenty fast, at least faster than the 250r engine
