    Need exhaust for 250sx

Well, the rust holes my 250sx muffler are big enough that I can really hear it now. Is there any point of trying to weld these, or is that just a waste of time? I don't have the equipment or the experience, but I can take it somewhere.

Otherwise I'm looking for a stock 250SX muffler. Checked ebay, and people are selling junk. Has anyone else found a *very* quiet alternative? There was a thread sometime back where people where experimenting with the Ford FO-4 tractor muffler, but I never heard how it came out, and I couldn't find the thread again.

I weld mine with plates but it wasn't rusted really bad.
If yours is in really bad shape, I wouldn't even try to weld it.
Sometimes the walls gets rotten from the inside and as soon as your try to weld it pass throught
You could always try if your going to trash it, but chance of succes and lifetime of the repair are low.
I cant really help with the quiet alternative thought.

Does anybody know if the Big Red muffler fits? I was looking at some 250ES mufflers on ebay and they look the same, but people really want a lot of cash for an old used muffler that looks just as rusty as mine!

    Yes, it will fit.
I'm not sure about bolt-on as the frame isn't the exact same, but it should be really close.
