    carburator repair

    sorry no pics but the lug in the carb that aligns with the barrel is loose causing it to shift back and fourth causint the sleeve/barrel to bind up which i believe is causing my carb to load up and become flooded , can this be fixed ? j b weld maybe ? i have another carb on order but would like to salvage this one for a spare am i s. o. l ?

    Clean the metal carefully and use JB Weld, just make sure to bake it at 120 degrees F to harden it. JB turns to concrete if baked.

    thank you now for the lug what is the correct position ? about how much of the lug should be exposed inside the carb mine looks like it may have had a small chunk break off of the lug if this is the case where would that broke piece have gone ?
