Use a buffer with red rouge and It will look almost like chrome and be polished to near ultimate sheen. Just use a loose sisal wheel.

Are you gonna get up and burn an X in your head?

im assuming red rouge is a metal cleaner? so should it be a soft buffer or something with some grit?

the rouge is somewhat abrasive and works far better than any other method, you could also use a buffer on a low speed air sander. I would finish it with Mothers Mag & Aluminum polish on a Scott Shop rag. Itll look like new. It can also take pitting off as well.
Most sisal wheels are just a sewn cloth and are fairly cheap, just dont skimp on the rouge. start with the red (basic) and progressively move to Jeweler's Rouge (white) for a mirror shine.

You can also get scotchbrite wheels that will get it 90+% there, and finish with the jeweller's rouge. The scotchbrite has the abrasive built in. I know it works great on bronze and will get it shining like gold.
