    ATC 70 W/ No Spark?

Unable to get spark out of Honda 1984 ATC 70. I replaced primary coil, ignition coil, points. Trike ran good for a few weeks and then became difficult to start. I can get spark if I flick the kill switch back and forth from on to off. It pulsates as you flick switch from on to off. Adjusted points and checked coil for voltage and all seemed good. Any suggestions?

could you just unhook the switch, maybe its going bad. I believe its just a ground wire going to the switch. jim

The kill switch wire pigtails out of the stator to coil wire and loops through the switch to the ground on the coil. You can unhook it at the pigtail. You can just use that wire to wire in any type of switch if you want.

I tried looping the connections but got no spark. I disconnected the wires and got the same result. Troubleshooting electrical is not my specialty but the 70 is straightforward.
I was thinking of converting to a CDI box to eliminate the points. Not sure this will solve my spark issue.
