Where can I get a sight glass for my master cylinder?

The only thing keeping me from reassembling the brakes on my motorcycle is the sight glass on the master cylinder. Yamaha does not sell it separately and I cannot buy a new master cylinder just because of that. I was going to take it to a machine shop and see what they would charge to just weld in the whole and smooth it out. But before I do I want to see if there are any other options out there. I think maybe one from another master cylinder would work but where can I buy one separately?

I dont' know if you can get master cylinder sight glasses. I do know the clutch side cover for a bw200 has a seperate sight glass and gasket though. I don't know if it will work for you, but you might want to look in that direction, for side covers with sight glasses in them.

Thanks man. that is a good idea. Some of the kits for the older mater cylinders comew ith new sight flasses. But this one is too new.

If the glass is removable take the mc to a glass shop and see if they can cut you a new one.
