yea you can use a xr200 cam and i herd they have a higher lift than the stock 200 cams .. i think the xr200r heads are 2 valves but they are bigger valves than a normal 200 head . not too sure though because i dont know dirt bikes too well .

I believe the 84 and 85 XR200R models had 4 valves, dual carbs, dual header pipes. They were based on the larger 250 and 350 motors.

The exception is the 84 XR200 model, this is the only funny year, where the 'R' after the '200' mean dual/mono rear shock, and I believe the 84 monoshock had a 'regular' xr200 (1981-83, and 1986-2002) head with two valves and one header. (84 had one with that funky motor, and one model with the more traditional setup)

Not sure if that 84/85 head will fit, but the regular ones should no problem. Only difference is supposedly a better cam and the 65mm vs 65.5mm stock piston size difference...and supposedly the XR has smaller jugs/fins.

The 4 valve XR heads won't fit the 200X, S etc. Those heads were junk anyway. They used to crack between the valve seats all the time.
Stick with the stock head and all the 185 - 200cc two valved heads have the same size valves as each other.

so the xr 200 cam will fit right in my head and will give me more power than my stock one? how will that one compare with like a the mid range powroll cam or the webcam?
