Looking For A free Suzuki LT80 Manual Download

Hey everybody, I picked up a free LT80 the other day (never know what's gonna turn up in the craigslist freebie section, it pays to frequently check it). It's complete and in ok shape (definitely needs new tires and some TLC), but the battery is dead and I suspect it has been sitting a long time (it was left behind at a house when the owner's moved). Would really appreciate it if some one could point me to a free manual download, or at least could give me some basic specs on the bike. Thanks.

Surprised me, but the battery seems to be holding a charge, so last night after I got done working on my Tri-Moto 175 I decided to see if the little quad would at least turn over. Just for the heck of it I decided to shoot a little mix down the plug hole, more for lubrication than in any hope that it might start. Gas tank is bone dry, and I'd like to at least clean the air filter before attempting to get it running. So it turned over just fine, and it actually popped a little bit. Instinct takes over and I start pumping the throttle, and the sneaky lil' devil wakes up and shoots forward like a little blue bullet, smacking into a pile of stored garage goodies. Whoops, forgot that these things are automatics! These little guys accelerate quick! I'm pretty psyched, I think that there's probably nothing really wrong with the machine, just needs a good cleaning and tune-up. Hard to believe someone would leave a perfectly good quad behind. It pays to keep a close eye on your local craigslist freebie section. You'd be surprised the cool and occasionally valuable things people give away, but you've got to jump on them quick, 'cause there's usually a lot of competition for these freebies.

Shout out to MonroeMike for providing me the service data for the LT 80 (and the Haynes manual for my Tri-Moto 175 as well). Dude deserves a medal for being such a fountain of service manual goodness.

Update: Took apart the air intake system and carburetor, and cleaned the hell out of them (filthy)! Had to scrub the intake parts out in a sink full of soapy water to get all the caked-on dirt off. Putting it all back together was challenging as well. It's an incredibly well sealed system, and it 'aint easy getting off and on. Bought a new battery, gave her a good wash, lubed the chain, greased the zerk fittings, lubed the cables, and adjusted the brakes. Unfortunately, the left front cable broke when I was lubing it and trying to get it to stop sticking. Cable was rusty and frayed. Despite this minor setback, I was able to get it in decent running and riding shape. Advertised it on craigslist for $450, and sold it for $400 to the first guy to look at it who was buying his ten year-old son his first quad for his birthday. Awesome.

Heck of a deal. I love the LT80's, so do my kids.. $400 is pretty cheap for a running LT80.

Yeah, I'm not greedy. I only had about $30-$40 invested into it, plus my time, so I decided to keep the price low. Plus, it was a '91, and still needed a little work (tires were worn, needed a new brake cable and paint). I was stoked to sell it to someone who was gonna make his kid happy. And yeah, they're great little machines.

Got lucky with this craigslist freebie. Somebody left this behind when they moved, and the person hired to clean up the property didn't want it and needed it gone, so he posted the ad on cl, and I just happened to be the first person to respond (saw it about 5 minutes after it was posted), and made arrangements to pick it up immediately. Ya gotta jump on these things quickly. If I'd seen the ad 5 minutes later I'd probably not have gotten it...pays to scan the freebie section often.
