I can break down what I have into mine. But it depends on how far you want to go.

    New valves $ 35
Top end gasket kit $ 20
Labor for rebuilding head $ 30

    Piston $70
    Cylinder machine work $30
New timing chain and guides $45

    Total $230

Buy the time I added a new carb plus misc shipping and other little odds and ends it was a bout $300.. I have hear though my machine shop prices are half what most shops charge.

That is with me assembling and the disassembly of the engine.

depends on how involved you wanna get .. i have about 4 or 5 hundred into my top top end .. but thats top of the line parts .. if yout talking about just the piston and gaskets and maybe cam chain id say around 180.00 give or take ..
down to parts because i no longer have a place to ride trikes.

    GIT IT RAAAGGGGG !!!!

Thanks that's around what I was thinking because my rings are shot and I don't really have the time to do it myself. I'm not taking it to the local honda dealer because they over charge a lot my uncle told me about a guy that used to be the head. Mechanic at the Honda dealership that's now retired and fixes three wheelers and quads on the side so I think I'll go with him

If it just needs rings, you will need a top end gasket set ($25 or less) and rings, maybe $35 or so for those. Then labor. If your cylinder needs more than just a hone (meaning a bore), expect to pay $40-$60 for the boring, and then having to buy an oversized piston + ring set.
