Lightbulb honda 250es muffler gasket (Thanks all, UPDATE WITH WTF)

I need the muffler gasket/exhaust seal between the header pipe and muffler, checked Honda twice, IT IS DISCONTINUED. Anybody have a source or a trick to make a new one.

    Please help with any info/ideas

if you dont quite care for looks use aluminum foil and a couple of pipe clamps. It works great, thats how i have mine sealed.

Wonder if it would match up to anything at the parts store? Is it the little lead washer style or a flat paper gasket?
No trikes. Too old, too crippled. Unless I find one I can't live without!

i have no clue i have a kawasaki. Its probablly lead or tin because paper would probablly burn. If its lead or tin you might be able to find some wire and wrap it around it and have it work? http://www.skidoopartshouse.net/page...d/7/Honda.aspx Theres a picture of it on here. You could try to get it from them but i doubt they will have it. But hey! its worth a try.

perhaps ask your dealer if they have/can get 85 trx250. Same part, different machine
I would imaging anything early in the 250cc range will work as well including 84 trx 200

Well, I have decided the guys that work for my local Honda shop are retarded I asked about the muffler gasket 3 times, 1 guy once, 1 guy twice (Both said it was discontinued). Anyway, I went in to pick up another parts order and got a third guy. Taking 3WWs advice I asked if a TRX250 gasket would fit my 250es, he looked it up and said they had 250es gaskets in stock, I told him about being told it was discontinued. He showed me the computer screen, the old SKU was discontinued (the line read "Muffler Gasket - discontinued") right above it was "Muffler Gasket" and a different SKU.

Yes I noticed when looking one up yesterday the old one is discontinued but they superceded it with a new one. I bought this one on eBay yesterday for about $9 shipped: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWNX:IT. I always search part numbers first on eBay before going to the dealer.

Other then the label on the part/box/bag, where do you find the part numbers?

Anyone know if it's the same exhaust seal as the 185/200 models? (185s, 200s, 200)

You can look them up on any of the websites that sell oem parts. I use www.motogrid.com just because it's easy to remember.

It's not the same gasket. I wish it was because I have one for the 200x here and it's too little.
