    Smallest tires on stock rims

Whats the smalled sites I could go with on stock 110 rims? I have 22x11x8's on there now, but I ride on streets mainly, so I would like smaller tires for the faster look. Not crazy small of course, but for the look of a tri-z or the like.
Or should I keep these tires? Are they a good all round size? Keep in mind, I do a little trail riding, but not a lot.
    Just looking for opinions here.

your going to be losing alot of top speed though, lucky to get her up to 26ish MPH

when you say 110 rims you mean atc110 right?

Are you saying if he put 30" tall tires on his trike, he would go faster? I never knew larger diameter tires were a 110 performance upgrade.

Any pics of the 70 with those tires on the 110 rims? I'm thinking of buying 3 of those myself for a little trike I've been tossing together.

maybe i spoke oddly, everyone knows smaller tires lowers your gearing, so overall top speed (revlimiter top gear) will be at a lower speed then rev limiter top gear with the 22s!

the 30s would be over kill and bog the machine out by gearing it way up so high.
this is common sense and i feel your messing with me

smaller tires lower top gearing yet raise pulling power/ acceleration. though over gearing in either direction will do bad for both speed and acceleration (gear way down you have no speed to accelerate to, and gearing so high you how no power to get to these top speeds.) you all know what i mean and i speak with real life experience from many machines.

I still say your way off.

My 78 atc90 and 85 110 go WAY over 26mph. The 90 was clocked on a flat road at 45mph and it was stock. My built 110 has not been clocked yet but it is faster. And both trikes had 18x9.5x8 turf tamers on them.......beleive it or not.

What it is IMO is that those little motors can't pull on top end with the big stock tires and with the little ones it can.

might be right, im just guestimating off of my machine as for the number, i was just trying to make the point that it will be geared lower (same rpm and same gear it will be less speed number wise). and yeah yamaha warriors, im my experience go faster with 20s, than stock 22s cause they cant rev out with the 22s all the way.
i dont have a problem revving out with my big tires but some might. i just know with my 20s it was slower than 22 on my machine.
for some reason it says my reply is to short, add 10 characters. so heres 10 characters lol jfbgjdfnfdjdshdffffd

swingen I hardly doubt that your 90 does 45 mph good luck with that one, down hill with a tailwind, and a rocket bolted to the back of it maybe.
If its to loud then your to old
I will see you at the finish line

my 110 with 22s (all stock) on a flat dirt road will go 43....so im not doubting it. right now im rollin the 21s and haven't clocked it but probably around 36ish. (and my 20s went 31ish, which were clocked too)
a excellent running 90 with a lighter guy on a long flat (or downhill) road will go close to 45, MAYBE.
im not a researcher and only know my own stuff so yeah

I know, I couldn't beleive it when he told me what it did. So we ran it again and it did the same.....it was SCARY...lol

It was just rebuilt but with all stock parts...anyway.....

To answer the OPs qustion, I do like 18x9.5x8 tires on 90-110 trikes. But only if they are 1/2 tread so I can slide better...lol

Ill just keep my stock 22"s. It sounds like they were chose for stock size for a reason, so Ill keep them that way. Now the Front tire may be going a couple inches bigger....

you could always get race type tires that are 22s so they look cool and will handle better if your driving on streets alot. maxxis razors are a nice tire
