I have never seen a cracked R frame. My brothers have owned them and put them through a severe beating and the frames have not complaned once.

I have seen them break the lower motor mounts, and peg mount area, near the stem.. so yes they do break..
Ride it like you stole it! And never look back! They are too far behind to see!

I don't see any cracks in the frame in the picture. Looks like someone ran it through some boulders though.

nope just the usuall rocky PA. ground. the crack is a hairline crack just before the weld the pic does not do it justice

I really can't believe that two of the most knowledgable people on here are still arguing about this. Let it go. Maybe 250rmad's way isn't the best but he has never claimed it to be. And mr atc, we are all sure you can brake a frame. I have seen friends of mine brake factory frames, in the sand on newer quads. I would guess that after 15+ years of abuse a 250r might have a little fatigue in it whether it has anything cut out or added. It just gets old watching to adults argue about the same thing all the time. Sorry, but I had to vent a little. :|

my argument was not that it "worked" for you. but, that i could brake your frame and that there is a better way to build it
