G'day all, how do you clean your air filter? Just with water and let it dry? Do you add oil or anything to the filter, before re-installing it :?:

I usually dunk it in gas, scrub it good to get all the dirt out and then rinse in gas. Let it dry and put some air filter oil on it. Not a lot but just enough for a thin layer all around it. If you get too much, then the engine will starve for air. hope that helps

I let it sit in a strong soapy solution to loosen all the crap, and then rinse it out from the inside. Once it's dry I re-oil and reinstall.
