    Tool Needed

I am looking for a swing arm lock nut tool to buy, rent, borrow to remove the swing arm lock nut on my 250es. If anyone has one they would like to sell, rent out, or loan out or knows of a source for this tool in the aftermarket...please let me know.

I forget the size of hex head bolt but I used a hardened bolt and a big pipe wrench a couple of times.
Just start sticking the head of a hex head bolts in there to find out which one fits the best.

ok..you fella's are missing what I am looking for...I have a 17mm allen socket to fit the swing arm bolts...I need the 4 castle socket/tool to remove the lock nut that retains/locks the swing arm bolt on the right hand side...I made a tool out of a MAC Tool 1 1/8 socket but there was considerable rust on the threads of the swing arm and one of the ears on my tool broke (probably due to not bearing on all four drive surfaces equally and squarely)..I removed the bolt on the left side and my swing arm easily was removed...I turned the right swing arm bolt in..and sprayed more PB blaster in behind the lock nut...I have had both sides soaking in PB Blaster for the last week...but this nut is rusted and stuck...I think the proper tool would be best for this particular situation...once I have the nut removed I can make my own properly fitting tool that bears on all four drive surfaces equally.

I have a tool. The Honda service tool. My rental price would be what it cost new which is about $75.

I just used a drift and a BFH reseat it, I was able to put my 17mm socket hex and turn them both out at the same time (with the help of a breaker bar).

Thanks for the picture...I was under the impression that there were external threads on this nut...my swing arm is full of rust I see now that I can just thread the bolt out...Thanks

You could just call a motorcycle shop, tell them what you need, and they will order it for you. Or BikeBandit has 1000's of tools, sometimes it takes a while to find the one you need but they should have it.

Ok...I got it out...I could turn the bolt and the swing arm threads and the lock nut threads were not bound (locked) so I just turned the swing arm bolt out and then fought the nut off with the help of my large machinist vice, my 17mm socket and extension and a large vice grip...

This is a Honda only tool. Motion pro, Park, etc don't carry it.

Where would I be able to get one of these at? Would I have to call honda to order it, or does an online store carry it? If you would let me know I would appreciate it very much.

It is the same tool used for foremans. I got the part number out of my service manual and got it from my local dealer.
