Hmmm... Will this work on my 350X??

Ok.... Don't laugh, but I've been trying to find a way to mount both my speedo and tach on my 350X, plus I'd like to add an ignition key switch. I was searching through Ebay for switches and stumbled across this. I think the Speedo and Tach I have should fit in it nicely. The case would be nice and bring the gauges together as a common dash with a key too! What do you all think? Would it look tacky, trick, or pretty functional?

Yeah..... I was thinking it would give some added protection as well!!!

My only concern is that the Speedo is on the Left and I might not have a long enough cable as the factory 350X mounting kit mounts it off the Right axle and the gauge on the top of the right fork.

Do you think the factory cable will be long enough to reach? MR ATC you'd know!

if you mount it low enough on the clamps (the factory mount sits high ) you should have enough cable.

Well..... I won the auction! The other idea I thought of was to scan in one of my front fender 350X stickers, resize and make it vertical, and make a cover to put over the 4 dash lights between the gauges..... EXCEPT make the blue 'X' a cut out and wire the blue high beam to light with my headlights. Would that be an awesome sight at night? The back lit Speedo and Tach with a blue glowing 'X' in the middle! 8)
