Smile Proud new owner of 1984 110 but a few problems!

Hello new to the forum, the site is a great resource. As Honda acts like it never made three wheelers LOL!
A Steal for 50 bucks brought it home in perfect condition and it even had an unopened tool pouch from the factory. It sat in a barn for years never riden hardly.
A couple of questions on it:
#1 the number one problem with it is the gear selector is stripped, when you move the pedal it does not turn the shaft into the transmission. and i tightened the bolt on it and that did not help, then i removed the tightening bolt to remove it but there seems to be somthing keeping it on.How do i remove it?
#2 seems as there is oil leaking around the shaft from the pedal out of the transmission is this a big problem?
#3 does any one have a pdf owners manual they can email me?
Thanks so much for the help as i really want to get this 110 running soon.and i will post pic soon

To get that gear selector pedal off, you might need to carefully tap a wedge into the slit in the splined opening to expand the opening enough to get it off. The splines must be chewed up if its slipping. Take it easy as you don't want to damage the shaft or stress it, but a little prying after you expand the opening should do the trick.
