Try getting a clapped out 350x and replacing everything on it. I mean replace all the fenders. Replace the front and rear brakes and master cylinders and lines and stuff with all new parts. Buy a new throttle. Buy all new rubber and bearings front to rear, not including the engine. Buy a new piston and con rod. Powdercoat everything. All new nuts and bolts and tons of other bits. And find a Tiger hulk that is mostly complete with all the necessary Tiger only parts. A basket case Tiger runs over $1500 bucks. A basket case 350x, maybe $200. The front and rear fenders and radiator scoop and the front number plate had to have molds made just to get the parts. No Tiger fenders and such made by maier. I think the last nos Tiger rear fender I saw was over $2500. I know what I have in mine. And how many Tigers on here? And if you think a 200 or 250cc Tiger is a cake walk, look into a Tiger 500. There were an estimated 15 frames made and a possible ten trikes produced. How many basket case 200/250 Tigers are there on these boards? Let alone spare parts? Have any nos Tiger parts laying around or used Tiger parts. Yes they are pricey. Keep in mind production numbers between Tigers and 350xs. I'm sure Honda made more 350xs in a day than Tiger made of all their machines put together. I think $7000 for a Tiger that is turnkey is a good deal. What does vintage motorsports charge to do a resto on a 350x or a 250r?

When I said pricey, I meant that someone would have to be able to pay that much and that I could not afford it. Veal, no disrespect at all. You have a very nice collection of Tigers and I am sure you worked very hard to gather such rare bikes.

Yeah, that's beautiful. Nice to look at. Anyone mount one on the wall like a moose or mountainlion or something? It'd look neat with a high-rise ceiling.

Whoa didn't mean to offend anyone, I never said it was over priced, just expensive which I think we can all agree $7,000 is expensive for no matter what it is.

I wasn't offended and I don't think other Tiger owners are, but I just wanted people to realize to keep this in perspective. Except for the several Tiger only parts or parts made by Tiger, all the other parts are still readily available. Even engine parts even though they are getting a little more expensive. There are even people willing to make new exhaust pipes if that is what is so desired. I believe there is a set of rear fenders for a 250r right now on ebay with a buy it now of $1000. Quite a few honda trike parts are discontinued, most never to be had again unless honda decides to make a run on some parts. Lots of people are beginning to hoard parts just to try and keep their beloved trikes going for awhile longer.

Other smaller or lesser known companies, such as Tiger ATV, Franks, and Cagiva, produced racing three wheelers, but in much smaller numbers. Few of these machines are known to exist today and are highly sought by collectors.
