    Iron Horse 90

Has anyone ever heard of a Iron Horse aftermarket 90 frame? It looks like a Bandito but the front motor mount is welded instead of bolted on, it looks like the motor sits lower in the frame.

I have a frame that has that exact front neck but the back half is like A Nicholson . My Guess is it was a made to order frame for Iron Horse by the Bandito company . I have run into a few frames were the motor sits much lower in the frame and you really don't realize it till you go to mount the exhaust and its hitting the rear axle .

Maybe Greenhuman will chime in and shed some light on the frame but I think its just a Heavy duty Bandito

Thats an early Bandito because of the fully welded front mounts. The later versions were boltable. The Banditos with the lower engine mounts had a steeper fork rake for quicker turning and were really noticable.
Has anyone seen or got a set of Bandito chromolly forks? They had a double wheel mount, were smaller in diameter than standard forks and had no headlight mounts.
I have looked out some photos from our Glamis trip with my friends from Johnsons we took in 1982. I will have to scan them and post them up. Some really trick 90's there!

I have these, but they are chromoly, so I don't think they are bandito forks. I did sell another set of forks to a member on here that were quite similar, but were made of mild steel and much heavier in weight. I took my forks off my old aluminum frame and I'm putting them on the old tried and true nicholson frame.

No, the Bandito fork are a bit different at the bottom. The standard position is the same as stock and the front position is around one inch forward. Both of those ones pictured are forward.

My guess is iron Horse is just a dealer that put his decal on the frame .
