    clutch cover

    anyone have a bright idea how to break clutch cover loose from case? dinged it up some. bolts all out and the manuel says to use yama bond when replacing. ideas?

    rubber mallet tap around the clutch cover to loosen it. Leave a bolt or 2 in loosely to hold the cover when it pops loose. Try not to pry with a screwdriver.. bad idea. If you get a gap, and have to pry use a plastic bondo spreader or something that won't mar the edges.

    thanks for the get back--iv'e whacked all over this thing, got just enough loose to start oil leak. worked on stuff like this for over 40 years and ain't seen one this bad. yeah, screw driver is a bad idea, but i'm getting pissed. the clutch plates are stuck , won't bread loose riding so this is alternative.????????????

    Try a Heat Gun on it, Then a soft rubber mallet ... ( Hope someone didn't use JB weld as a gasket maker )
