83 2oox noise

there seems to be a slight tapping or clanging noise in the top end part of my motor at idle. you dont hear it when the rpms go up but only at idle. motor was recently rebuilt. is that valve adjustment or cam chain? if so how do you adjust and is it easy to do?

could be a valve adjustment issue. 84 2oox is .003 if i remember correctly. google 83 2oox valve adjustment. There is a webpage that will walk you thru it. Also check where your exhaust head tube meets the motor it could be a little loose.
