The Primary Ignition Coil on the stator? A Resistance check will do it, Need to know How many Ohms it is supposed to be, But if its Open as in 0...Pooched, Just make sure you have the leads On the right wires.

Whatever creates the power to make it spark. While its torn down to get a new crank im going to make it so i don't half to have a battery strapped to the front fender. Hopefully.
