have a slip on cobra muffler and a cobra exhaust that came on my 350x.the one thats on it is the style that was not as loud as the rest i guess.was wondering what kind of exhaust sytems are out there to get a little more power.i have seen cobra and DG pipes as far as aftermarket.are there any else and what is the best one for my money thanks guys.

DO some search on the forum, there is some people that have done so cool mods' to some 400ex exhausts (i think ) But as far as slip on goes.. the xcellerator D.G. state 1 slip is a good pipe don't know how much power you really gain.... if any.. but sounds cool.. It is louder but not as loud as the cobra..

I just got rid of my Cobra, I think it was noisy junk. I myself went the cheaper route and traded even up for a stock exhaust in great condition. My machine runs 100x better and I can hear myslef think even if it's running

There used to be universal fmf slip-ons. I think there is a universal powercore 4 ,denniskirk used to sell them. They have a universal FMF Q slip-on,on sale

Cobra, DG - Both junk......... TOO loud and made cheap!
Look for a nice Supertrapp system and go from there. OR, buy a brand new set up from ST right up to the exhaust ports......
Cheap used junky ones are nearly impossible to get apart and you can't repack the silencer..... I've gotten 80% of them apart and ruined the rest, it's all about how beat up they are..... - Just ask Roy - TANKS350X.
It's tunable and can be made a quiet torque monster or or louder WOT top end machine.
Just my opinion...............
PS - Don't buy the ST rubber mounting grommets (ALL the used ones are JUNK and the new ones don't last very long either) in a couple days I'll post up the ones I'm making with polyurethane bushings and a 6061 aluminum spacer. I'm trying to keep them at about 25$ which is comparative with Supertrapp and a much better design........
I'm trying EVERYDAY to IMPROVE upon the parts we buy and offer an explanation...................
Aside from that, if you can draw it, I can make it and the more I make the costs go down...................

Couldnt agree more! Noisy Junk! Put a 450R muffler on it... Takes a bit of fab to get it on, but looks good, and sounds good too... (not too loud, but loud enough)Originally Posted by mike1979

i have to agree with the cobra just loud. i just put a supper trapp on the 350x and i love it. its a little loud right now but it has tone which i like. i suggest finding a super trapp.

Supertrapp is easily the best aftermarket exhaust for the 350x. Theyre really expensive tho, $350+ just for the silencer. I got lucky and scored a used one on ebay a while back for $85.

There is also superflow and PK performance plus exhaust systems out there you would have to ask member userj8670 how the PK performance plus exhaust systems performance because he bought it off me but I'm not sure if he has it hooked up

I say super trapp all the way. I have had a basanni and a dg and I have a super trapp on mine. I modded the crap out of my 350x to and it still runs amazing on the super trapp. Ran nice as stock 2.
Mods, 12.1 piston, 400ex carb, k&n, porting and polishing, super trapp, and runs on race gas. Freaking screams I can ride in 6th gear quite often. Good luck picking a pipe.
