I just recently replaced my front tire on my 84. It's hard to find a tire that is the same size as stock. I found a good deal on a Dunlop KT761 in 22X9X10. It is 2 inches skinnier than stock. It turns much better with this tire than the stock one. I also finally mounted my cut Turf Tamers. Here is a picture

Here is the ITP Sandstar I bought for the front of my 84 at the dunes. It's a 22X9X10

    Rides:
1986 ATC250R (sectional pipe and Klemm Research silencer)
1986 ATC250R (Desert Bike, WAX-ON seat, Dual Cibie lights, Steering Stabilizer)
1979 ATC110 (Bandito frame and forks, Turbo wheels, disc braked)
    1982 ATC70 (Lifan manual 125)
    1987 LT80 (piped, widened)

Thanx dcreel, your info is too cool. The fork and brake guard, are they still available or old school? I couldn't polish up the forks to far gone was gonna paint orange, then grabber green, then electric blue, then got pisssed at my indecision and primer'd em'.

Old school not available any more. I got mine from Freaksfix here on the site. He has another set in green but they are for an 84 drum brake front end, I think. As for the paint color, I definitely have a bias for grabber green. It's my favorite color.

You can wet sand fork lowers if you have the patience, starting with like 400 grit (if they are really bad) and working up to 1000 or fines. Dip it in water and sand away. Then use steel wool. Then use mag wheel polish. It takes a really long time, but you can make anything shine again.

Nice looking trike. Sure isn't just a box of parts anymore. I wish I had grabbed up the Tecate that was around here. I am really regretting it.
