My dad bought this 13 years ago and hasn't ridden it much especially in the last 8 or so. Engine's never been apart, only Boyesen reeds and a k&n for after market for the engine. It runs and works perfectly flawless.

curious...what did he pay for it 13 years ago??? i bought my first 85 R back in '95. it just needed an axle carrier, otherwise very good mechanical condition...i paid $200

$200, as in hundred. dirt cheap now i know, but around here anyway, back in '95 trikes didnt bring much $$$, especially if they were in need of anything. i remember in '91, my best friend bought an absolutely MINT '86 200x. it had a DG exhaust, twist throttle, factory tires in 90% condition along with a set of nealry new flat trackers on rims AND a Honda shop manual....this thing was mechanically and cosmeticaly 100%. ready for this?? he paid $425! it was only 5 years old!!! that same trike in as good shape as his was when he got it would easily bring $1500 in my area, WITHOUT the extras! makes one sick doesnt it? oh to have a time machine!! lol!Originally Posted by xr132

I would think that a liquid R in that shape would get $2500 EASY and maybe as high as $3500 in Saskatchewan...$2000 for that would be a steal !! These things are worth more north of the border...a lot more.
