i have a 310ct long rod kit on my 85 250r..but it has a i think 87 bottom end on it....i like it...plenty of power just haveing trouble keeping it cool. i just had the motor completely rebuilt so im taking it back to shop that rebuilt it to find out why its over heating...

heres the thread i started about it http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthr...r-over-heating ...as for ct making pipes for the kit..i dont think they do..i just used a fmf pipe that i had to hit with a to clear some radiator hoses......then when i had the motor rebuilt the shop sold me a DG pipe and im not sure what they did to make it fit but they definatly didnt hit it with a like i did...

    Everything fits.

Its not a CT kit, Its a Pro-X cylinder that just has CT porting.

I would never recommend hitting the pipe to make it clear anything. That will screw up the pipe design for sure and result in a loss of power.

Your over heating problem sounds like its jetting. Its not the cylinder, Mine stays at a nice 180* all day long in 100* weather.

My oppinion on this kit is UMM, it sucks. The Pro-X casting is EXTREMELY soft, after a few rebuilds you will have striped head studs, the base of the cylinder where the studs come up will mushroom. They are decent power over stock but all my 250's ive built are faster than the 310 i got. I also would not go with a ct pipe. Its a low end pipe, it will have no high end power or overrev. The ESR pipe is a much better choice. HELL the whole esr kit is better. ESR now casts there own cylinders, the port layout is over 10 years newer than the Pro-X design and is much cheaper than the CT setup.

Like NOS suggested, fatten up the main, maybe lower the clip on the needle (raised).

No air box lid, altitude, temperature all change the jetting a bit.
