    Need help installing reeds

i own a 83 atc 250r, i just bought it, i was having a problem with hitting powerband. I took out my reed assembly and this is what i saw. 2 curved metal pieces with holes under them was a this piece of sheet metal that looks like reeds. I bought a set of boyesen reeds, now do i take out the sheet metal piece and replace it with the new reeds or do i put it under/on top of the sheet metal. Sorry im a newbee for 2 strokes my first time working on one.

Take everything off the reed cage, and use the boyesen reeds with the boyesen reed stopper on top. Use some threadlock on the screws.

No, re-use the curved pieces. take the 3 screws out of both sides, take everything off reed block, put the bigger boyesen piece down, then the other piece, then the curved piece, then put the screws on and tighten, repeat for other side, you cant really mess it up, the screw holes are only on one side, just make sure the new pieces are flat when screwed down. There should be directions too.
