Valvoline 4 stroke motorcycle oil (actually has slightly more zinc that Valvoline ATV oil). Either will work. So will any 10W40. My auto clutch 90 shifts smoother with wet clutch oil. But according to Honda you can run regular oil, and many people do. I do in my 200X.

I have always ran Honda GN4 10W40 in all my machines with no problems. Even used to run it in the tranny in my 2 strokes.

I'm sure somebody knows how much it takes but you can just use the dip stick. Don't thread it in when you check it, just stick it in the hole and pull it out (he he). It may say on the case what the oil capacity is, some models do.

If the oil is rated JASO-MA, then it is designed for 4 cycle motorcycles with wet clutches, and does not have friction modifiers that cause clutch slippage.

    Here's an owners manual for a '82 185s: http://www.oscarmayer.net/atc/manuals/

Not sure where to find a full service manual online.
