350x sproket set up's, what's good for the sand???

Just wondering what you guys with the 350x run sprocket wise for the sand?? I have 20x11x10 paddles and was looking to get a little more on low end to help climb better. Has any one went with the 44 rear sprocket? Or would going to 12 up front help... Not to concerned about loosing a little top end, don't use 6th gear much as it is..

    Feed back appreciated thanks guys.

Are you running stock sprockets right now? I would drop a tooth in the front and see how you like it. Front sprockets are cheap.

    Im running a 15/38

GEAR that thing up and just ride in a lower gear, First gear is useless with stock gearing, so gear it up so your first was where second was.

Listen to NOS, he is certainly one person unafraid to try different carbs, tires, exhausts, gearing changes, suspension set ups and so on.......

And I'm pretty sure he's allot younger than us old timers! and possibly wiser in many aspects!!

Plus he rides 350X's in the dunes so he would know. DaMMit is another guy that may have some gearing and tire size opinions......

Ya running stock gears, stock motor on 20" paddles and just installed a ex carb.. Never thought of gearing up. Sounds like a good idea, Cause like NOS said 1st is useless so going up you could get more gear out of 1st, thus better climbing..

Thanks for the feed back guys..

NOS with that 15 up front mean you don't run a case saver? Right??? If you where to stay at 13 up front what would your recommend in the rear??? like a 38??

I just picked up a bunch of 350X and 250X parts, in the 350 box was a smaller rear sprocket, brand new with 36 teeth. Only front I saw was a 14 tooth. Anyone ever used one that dramatically different than stock?

I think between (83-84)R's and x's you can change the front I think.. But the rear are a little different

DirtCrasher that does meen alot to me, Thanks for the good words. By the way, Im 23, and have been playing with the performance of this 350x for over 7 years now. The current engine and carb setup i have had about 4 or 5 years on, and i havent even checked the valves in that time (Its way past due) The thing keeps runnign soo dang good and starts extremely easy. I almost dont want to touch it ever again till she blows.

As for the front sprocket. Mine rubs the case saver, I think i even ground down the case saver to get it on. But thats what i had to do to get my desiered gearing.

If you kept the 13 front, I would recommend about a 34 in the rear i think, I would have to doubble check the chart, try 14/36 should be perty decent and those shouldnt be too hard to find.

I think im going to try and gear the bike up a bit more still, My top speed sucks compared to my banshee and 250r.
