I just picked up a decent '85 Big Red for $250. Runs preety good and no smoke. Accordint to the case, the shift pattern is;

All gears are good except 4th. Doesn't seem to want to go into 4the, kinda like the shift pedal won't go high enough to get it into gear. Doesn't gring or slip, kinda seems to hesitate and right back to third. Anyone know what's goin' on? I don't yet have a manual, gonna have to hit up MonroeMike for that.

Have you double counted your shifting? I swear I go through all my gears, and always am looking for another gear on my BR. Heres a manual...

More than double counted while going threw the gears. Low, first, second, third, but no fourth. I'm gonna check out that manual you posted, thanks Thorpe.
