I have a Cobra exhaust for my ATC 70 coming.My 70 has a 125 Lifan installed in it.So I will have to modify it and would like to know the O.D. of the header pipe before it comes.That way I can have some pipe around to do it.

did you ever figure this out? i have seen some cobra exhausts for sale lately and am doing a 125 lifan swap on my atc70 soon. What all did you have to do? Will the stock atc70 exhaust bolt up to the lifan?

Yes,it was for a 73 Atc 70.It wasn't a simple bolt on.The pipe was for a newer machine.Didn't take a whole lot of cuting and welding to make it fit.

I actually routed it pretty close to what the original went.It exited out the rear also.Sorry no sound clips or pics really.It sounded just like a big bike.Repacked the muffler really tight and it sounded pretty good for a Cobra.Think it only took a 1 1/2 to do it.A friend of mines 10 year old son owns it now and drags it.He is down into the 6s in 300'.It will outrun a 250 Fourtrax.The motor is a Lifan racing with the auto clutch.

stock exhaust location that's the plan, looks to be about the only choice really for the first gen 70's after thinking about it. might do a lifan swap in a year or two to save the original, unless something happens to the original motor before then.
