Buddy came over last nght and started tinkerin' with my 85' Tecate. It Quit & I finally narrowed it down to the stator. Tried with a universal flywheel-type puller and had no success. He started examining with a flash light inside the stator and seems whoever put on this new one didn't tighten the plate (pen pointing in picture). All that happened was the two bolts came loose, and messed up the timing and now it won't produce spark. Where do I get this speciality tool (found the spanner socket for 200x clutch), didn't see it in denniskirk. He really likes this trike so said he'll do whatever to help me get it screamin', that's a cool buddy when you're not mechanically inclined. If this is all that stands between me and riding it this summer (as opposed to a long project), I'll be as happy as a puppy with two peters.
83' 200x (son's). 85' 200 auto-x & 85' 125m (daughters). 84' Tecate(?). 85' KXT Tecate (mine!, mine!, mine!.)+ some others but don't feel like typing them in.
