well folks deathrocket created a new super alloy a few months ago. from the piston circlip letting go a fusing to the aluminum piston in the presence of gasoline and 2 stroke oil. I think global metals incorporated my interested in buying my piston for a gajillion dollars. ok seriously, the circlip let go and managed to make 4 deep grooves in the piston as it worked up the cylinder wall and breaking the rings in the process. so thanks to a fellow 3ww member a newer jug is in order, and a full regasket and a cleanup at the machine shop. so the next few weeks i am going to rebuild this thing with new bearings etc a fresh coat of paint. and then its time to go riding again! deathrocket will fly again!
