    1986 polaris 250r input please

Hey guys just wondering if anyone has one of these trikes. I have an old truck im trading for a bike and so far i got an offer for this polaris and a 250 big red in good shape. Are the polaris's good trikes are more a collectors item. I plan on driving the bike i get and have had alot of hondas which were all great bikes. Just hoping you guys had some input on the bike thanks!

The polaris is very rare and kind of odd. It basically like a snowmobile powertrain in a trike-no shifting. Kind of odd looking too. Definitely more of a collector in my opinion; the BR would be a better rider.

Get both. That Polaris, if it's in good condition, or even decent running condition, would be worth a lot, just because they're pretty rare. I've never seen one.

If you get the Polaris ( P3 we call them ) you may find you LOVE the ride it gives. When they are running correctly the ride is VERY smooth. I will soon own 5 of them again. There are at least 5 or 10 others here on the forum that own and ride them.

Yeah i almost picked up a pair of them (one running one for parts) last summer, the guy was asking $350 on craigslist for both of them, but by the time i got down there, they were gone, what a bummer, they looked nice and sexy being all black :-)
