Teaching quads a lesson
Well I just got a new toy(350x) and I am bringing Yater his 200x he bought locally. So we are planning on a nice trip to the Dunes in LA. It would be great to see a huge turn out of trikes there! So bring it on whoever can make it!

Dang :shock: ScottZJ you are going to drive from TN. just to go to little ole LA Dunes I live 120 miles from there and plan on going soon but there is a better place to ride just 4 miles from my house we have 40 to 60 foot sand hill climbs and 200 to 300 yards of drag area that stays pretty smooth (but we are not supposed to ride there) so I dont go to LA Dunes to often. Might make the trip if it looks like we can get a good turn out.

Oh yeah we are planning on leaving around 5am friday morning to meet up with Yater. I will have a huge F250 Crew Cab 4x4 with 6" of lift with Yaters 200x in the bed and a trailer with 2...350x's on it. Sounds like we are going to have a great time and should be there around 1ish. I think we are planning on hotel rooms instead of camping though. Get with Yater if you want to join us at the hotel. We are planning on having them rooms turned into a drive in...so to speak. 86250RZ--I'm from Lafayette and when I lived there (until I finished high school), never went to the dunes. I now live 500mile from there and drive to ride there. If I were you, I would take advantage of it. If you want to rip, now is a good time to do it. We are gonna have some really sweet thumpers out there next weekend. It's always cool to have lots of fast trikes to show up the quads 8)

Oh I've been there but just down the road is the best place in the state to ride but its off limits now because some dude got hurt and his parents sued the guy who owns it because he is a Multi- Millionaire and now he lets no one ride there anymore and before it was free yes free no charge just unload and ride. It was called simply The Sand Dunes .Talk to anyone in this area and I promise you they will back me up. I know its not right but I still sneak out there every now and then. I had been ridding there since 1978, but this place is awsome makes LA Dune look like a kiddie park in comparision. I must get pics when I go out next time you will think I'm In Cali or something this place has hill climbs like you would not believe and alot of them in all shapes, sizes and hights some of these climbs must be 60 foot plus high all sand with flat strips in between atleast 200-300 yards long for drag racing you would have to see it to believe it.

Sounds good but I don't want my trikes taken away (just sounds like trouble) -- anyway, we might ride Camp Claiborne as well as the dunes. I grew up riding at Claiborne and still haven't been on all the trails (like 300miles worth) --Claiborne is 100% free and legal because it's national forest land. That whole area around forest hill is awesome for riding! You comming?

Trying to talk my Bro into coming with me, if he can make it i'll be there. Oh and they wont take your trike away, i've had the cops waiting on me when I came out one time and they just told me to leave witch I was already doing, but thats why I said I don't go much anymore. It's a shame how one guy can screw up a good thing for hundreds of people
