Question 85 Big Red Shock Leak

Seems like a silly question but I have developed an oil leak from the allen head bolt on the underside of the shock tube. My questions are; Is this oil under pressure? And, is it as simple as taking out the screw, putting thread sealer on it and re-installing? What type of oil is used, it appears to be clear. Any tips would be great.

    I mean "Fork" leak

I think he is talking about the front fork........I think

If he is - there is a copper washer under there to seal it - you'll want to replace that. they are not under pressure - and they use standard motorcycle fork oil.

My mistake. Yes it is the fork that leaks. Thanks for the ideas!

Honda used ATF in the forks from the factory, not fork oil... (either one would be just fine... Fork oil is more tune-able though)
