Other than the shifter that is a great machine. The shifter will hurt the value. $750-$1000.

OK, well do the cases have to be spilt to fix the shifter? I've actually got 2 spare bottom ends & I think one of them at least has the shaft still. Thx for the replies, keep em coming. I was thinking $1000 was a fair asking price myself. It's a good weld, won't have any issues so I never worried about it. I know it's not the proper fix but it's not some rookie weld. It was that way when I bought it,

You can probably grind the weld off with a small grinder and slide the shifter off the shaft.

What? No title $750 tops? Why? Some of these didn't even come with titles in 85 did they? How do you know if a trike originally came with a title or not? You'd really knock off $250 for a "bill of sale only" trike. That kinda sux 'coz I bought it without a title LOL.

I agree with all of the above.

No title 750,because a title is your proof of ownership, you can get a title for it. here in az you cant even ride without a title(new ohv laws). So a title really does help

Bah... Its definately worth more than 750 even without papers... I have a resto'd 85 ES without papers, and its still worth way more than 750... (Heck, here in MN, we dont even have to register the machine with the state once its 25 years old... Not sure how "papers" would make it worth a dime more...)

In Pa you need to have it titled, reg. and insured to ride on state land, or public land. They came with cert. of origin back in the 80's. Not a true title, but if you have one it can be tranfered to a current dcnr title. If it has a current title then you know the vin is clean. If it comes with a bill of sale and was stolen back in the day and you try to title it you have a chance of losing it to the police. Imo if its titled its worth a little more.
If I lived in a different state like you Thorpe then I would change my opinion. But since Im in Pa thats how I feel.
