....Err... 1975 185cc what? Give us a few more details. What is the motor from? Project without a welder, sound very difficult...

Not to tear down your idea, but I have to think that the 1974 TS motor, isnt exactly the most powerful thing out there... Kinda thinking a mildly warmed over 200X motor would probably be way more stout, and less work than that particular 2 stroke boat anchor... (just my honest opinion...) A 1974 TS 185 wasnt a real monster of a motor. 6.7:1 C.R. stock, building a max of 17.5 hp @ 7000rpm and 13.5 ft. lbs. of torque... I would rather freshen up a X motor, maybe high perf. cam and bump the comp. ratio up a bit, and save the fabrication work. I would think that the Honda motor would last longer, and be easier to get parts for too... I guess I dont see the point of going 10 years farther back in time (motorwise) for a motor that doesnt have alot of potential...

Take into consideration, that this is just my personal opinion, and you can do with it as you please...

talk to Ol Deuce, pm him, he did the 200x conversion that went well. if u could get a 200x roller for cheap and the engine will bolt up to it, then hey, a mini 250r!!! that will make you a cheap trike just to beat around on... good luck man
no more toys maybe buy a 250r?

Didnt the TS have high and low gears? If so, that may be kind of cool. Lower gears for trail riding, higher gears for speed. I could be wrong.

thorpe i understand what you are saying and agree but what iam looking at is a cheap 200x roller and a free motor .there is no x motor to freashing up.so like 200x said a cheap little runner .i have a few poeple that i ride with that do not have a ride so i build then cheap so they run and if get broken then no big deal .and about the high low i have no idea so i will run the number on the motor again and see what i find out thanks again guy i will let you know what i do when i get a chance and do it .
