i have a 2001 polaris sportsman 500, i recently bought, the battery is a new battery the type where you add the distilled water to. the battery is full of liquid. the thing is when i ride the machine it only stays charged for approximetally an hour or so. i checked for any hot wires when the key is off and can't find anything, so i know there isnt anything draining the battery. so i'm thinking that the stator/ magneto is bad and isnt keeping the battery charged. so i'm wondering is there any way to ckeck to see if it is working or not. thanks Dallas.
