    i am sure howdy told me he made his own once. all it has to do is take up space so the chain won't come off in the sproket area ,,,

    Yeah every bike should have one. If the chain comes off by the front sprockets it can bust the case. and then your outta luck cause the bike wont run cause you got a big hole where oil is coming out. Thats why they all them case saver
