86 250r Coolant reserve bottle

Ive notice that some guys are running without the coolant reserve bottle. Is this an issue or should i pick one up cause my bike doesnt have one on it at the moment..

I know it all depends on the weather or not i'm just wondering if the 250r's have a tendency to overheat or not?

I ride alot in the woods some times it is slow speed technical stuff so I got one off ebay for mine so it doesnt leek out on the the ground when things get hot.

Do you just hook it to the overflow nipple on the radiator and just run the line along the frame to the bottle??
