lol
thanks guys.
well still no spark, pretty much changed everything-plug, stator, coli, on/off switch, wire harness, points. but idk how good these parts are (been sittin out side forever) so im gonna buy new points & go from there.

omg i hate that,my 83 and 85's are like that, its like, wtf how the hell do i get these out,i replaced mine all with 8 and 6mm bolts
lol i had a spark issue, went through testing everywire, turned out there was a short in the wire coming from the coil to the spark plug,i switched it out with a car spark plug wire, started right up
last night it would run only for a few sec. & then die out & it only starts with starting fluid & holding the gas wide open, i then switched carbs & got it to run a little longer not much but it was also trying to start with out the help of starting fluid. now it wont even try to start or nothing, its getting spark, air & gas. i dont have any more good spark plugs could that be why? or maybe a little some thin in the carb? ive cleand both carbs about 3times.
Several things to check again. Make sure the points are gapped to about 1-2 thousandths when in the closed position, If it is not wanting to start you may have a tight intake valve(3-4 thousandths gap is a good start. You will have to find top dead center and make sure the intake valve is loose and the exhaust valve is tight before adjusting), you may also have the wrong jets or clogged jets. Check the wires from the Stator(yellow/black). See if the are cracked or exposed. They might be shorting out. I hope this helps.

not gonna lie i no nothing really about 4strokes & how to fix them. how do i go about gapping it 1-2 thousandths? dont know how to fix the valves thats over my skill limit lol, the jets were gumed up bad but i cleand the all out & made sure there good i swapped a few differnt jets in & same thing. the wires were cracked & exposedopen but i wraped them up & fixed that.

oh its cool man i dont want to be to much of a bother. im pretty sure i got that all takin care of, it now runs & well stay running. kinda bogs & backfires but the timing chain is way way lose i thinking thats the problem? how do i tightin it?
I am pretty sure that the 110's do not have the ability to have the timing chain tightened. If so, you would have to replace the chain. That is a time comsuming process.
Anyone out there know for sure if the timing chain can be tightened?

if you mean cam chain then yes it can be tightened. on the bottom of the engine their are 2 bolts one is the oil drain and the other is the cam chain tightener bolt (well actually its just a cover) on the side of that engine just above that bolt is another bolt coming out the side of the engine. when you loosen that bolt it allows springs to push up on a push rod that goes to a tensioner. of you loosen it and the chain is still loose then take off that cover i was talking about and there will be a flat head screw driver adjuster nut. tighten that and it will push up on the springs even more to get more push on that push rod.
afterwords put the cover back on and tighten the bolt that on the side and it will hold the push rod to the new tightened position. this is for my 84 110 and im not sure if it differs from the others.
see a manual for better instructions and pictures.

yeah i tried to tighten it yesterday but didnt work very good.
yeah i had to replace my cam chain because it was beyond tightening. after 26+ years they do that lol. my push rod has been jammed alot of the time too, got that fixed up. so it might not be working. the only way to know is to take it apart.
i have mine all apart and figured it all out lol.
sounds like fun...not lol..well if im going to rip the sob apart might as well rebuild it all why im at it...vavles, piston, aftermarket cam, cam chain ect. its not gonna be no over night rebuild though most likly going to take awhile. also might look into a lil porting work.
yep same for me. it started as just a rebuild to replace worn parts. now its turning into a mini race build. haha
