How many of us are going to be bringing 200X's out? Or should I get a 250r for it?
Never ridden on pure sand before, so I have no idea what to expect... (other than to bring paddles)

I have ridden Glamis for about 15 years now and I would say that if you want to go and have fun and keep with everyone, the 250R is the way too go. I have extra sets of paddles that I will bringing as well. I cant wait for this ride man you guys that have never been are going so amazed!! I cannot even begin to explain to you how much fun and how beautiful it is out there!!

Loving the enthusiasm in here. So far we are looking at a possible 23 people in our group! This means lower prices.
Keep it coming! Spread the word!

xpress- you wont regret getting a 250r there are a few air cooled ones on craigslist right now for under $500. You are gonna want the extra power to make it up some of the dunes, it sucks having to take a different line to get to the same place. the dunes need power. once you get out there, you are gonna love it, it is FUN.
Yes everyone will be responsible for booking their own flights. We will gets some times together for when you should aim to be in.
Yuma is the preferred destination. I do not look to make the long haul to San Diego this year again. 5 hours in the truck running people back to San Diego, hook straight up to the trailer when we got back, and haul allllllllll the way back home. We have 7 months to work all the small details out.
Stay tuned for exact dates everyone.

if your a good rider ,,, a 200x can be fun.. i would not even worry about trying to KEEP UP .... there will be a group you will find to ride with .... we have 30+ year vetran sand rats that you will never keep up with... so worry about having a good running machine in good condition so you won't be broke down and missing the riding....
AND TO THOSE WHO THINK THEY ARE FAST,,,, PLEASE BRING YOUR BIG BOY PANTS, YOU WILL NEED THEM!!!!
I'll be there again. longer than just a day trip this time. I plan on having a couple t-shirts made with IMPERIAL INVASION 2011 on them. After all, i did come up with the catch phrase for this big ride. any way, count me in, and Eric, what's up with the gen 1 tecate cool heads? tried calling you a couple times to see if you had some. I want to get one while I have my engine tore apart. and tell corey he still owes me some crank bearings (lol).
ok Kasey just picked up my big boy pants Im ready now

I don't think my 200X will have much trouble keeping up, it's got quite a bit of power over a stock 200...
(not that I won't buy a 250r)

I need to figure out the date's especially if it's gonna be around the same time as the dealer show but pencil Sandpuppi in with my 600X and put down Joedirt also with 1 machine. We'll work out the detail's at the ride if that's ok..FYI people this is some of the sickest riding i've ever done in my life with some of the coolest people i've ever met..

LONG LIVE SANCHEZ RACING
The wife and I are planning to make this trip, we'll be driving down with the toys. Thinking about trying to rent a Toy Hauler in Yuma for the week. We'll have to see about that. I'm stoked. It's been almost 20 years since I've ridden at Glamis. I've been telling the wife about the dunes there for 4 years. I'm excited for her too.
