    Stupid gdmf kawasaki...

Why will it run like crap once its warmed up? I have a freshly cleaned carb new plug, new rings a few weeks ago. Its a klt 200c1. Could the tailpipe be boiling the gas in the carburetor? The exhaust runs right underneath the carb and the heat shields only about 1/8th inch away from the carb. Oh and the mufflers gutted. (freaking thanks dad now i cant ride late at night)

the jetting would be my biggest worry you could have the wrong size jets or the adjustment could be way off, if its the adjustment your safest way would be to take it to a local shop and have them jet it.
now im not an expert at this but i have dealt with this same problem on my 200x. i messed with the elevation screw and gas screw and got it running a little better but not safe enough to ride without hurting the engine. then i got a shop manual and got it fixed for right now my bike needs a lot of work still.

heres a repair manual for your trike this will have all the stock jet adjustments and jets.

i tried finding an online one and never came across any for free
hopefully someone is good about this and can help you further than i can good luck.

My trike is my best friend.
It is my life. I must master it, as I must master my life.
Without me my trike is useless.

Please try not to blame Kawi for your lack of mechanical experience. Definitely sounds like a jetting issue to me, especially with the gutted muffler.

Is there any way i can make the back preassure without a new muffler? What about taking some aluminum screen and putting over the end of pipe?

It would probably work better to just re-jet it.

OK. On http://www.kawasakipartsnation.com/p.../Kawasaki.aspx it says that my stock mains 105. It looks like the next biggest is 110 that's available so im going to try to con my mom into paying for it for me. HOPEFULLY that will at least make it so it'll run better.

Cool man. I love the KLT 200's. Sorry yours is giving you so much trouble. Have you tried the different choke settings? One of my trikes has a piece of 2-3" steel tubing with a plate with a hole welded to the back for a muffler, and it runs fine, but I'm not sure if that helps your situation. Long live the KLT's!!!

Well i went and got what i thought was the next bigger jet than what was in it. Come to find out tonight when i went to put it in it was the same one! lol me forgot to check. I also had a clutch cable come in and it was about 6 inches too short so i need to figure out what to do about that now. I swear this trikes got a curse on it.
