I found a running big red motor drive shaft model ran when he took it out and has been in a garage ever sinceasking 200obo . I have an 84 first year drive shaft I believe,
-will any big red motor bolt up my frame?
- what should I look for on this motor to find out what year it is I know I have the decompression lever on top of mine and I dont see that on other models?
-other than wear on the outside of the motor lack of paint and that sortta thing what should I look for.
-I will buy a compression tester once I find one before I buy what should the compression be?
he also has the frame and tires not sure what else is on the frame what should I offer him for the spare frame and wheels condition is everything I know but I need to get a general idea before I shell out cash...
thanks!!! I hope I have my big red running soon! may be parting out the original motor I think just needs a new main stator coil.
