    Holley truck avenger carb

Has any one used one of these carbs? I was out wheeling with my jeep and I cant take the pos edelbrock that is on it any more. The carb is good on the street and mild trails but is awful when I start to go up anyting really steep. I am going to go with a propane set up over the winter but need a good carb for offroad now to hold me over till then.

Lowrider Avenger. It can take nasty angles and not starve the engine. Either that or a giant Tillotson

I looked up the carb and it has the same specs as the truck avenger except it seems to be polished to a chrome look.

    I'm working on throwing an injected 5.0 in place of my warmed 289...I ran a 670 on my 289, Sis's CJ has a 670 on a low compression 304 (read: worn out)...Dad's Flattie has a 470 on a mild 283 Chev and my P/U has a mild 410FE with a 670...

Not injection but better than most carbs out there...

I had a problem getting my idle correct but I think it is all fixed now. I must say that after I put it on I ran down the street to a quarry near my house and I ran it up some sick climbs with out a hitch. Stuff I had a hard time with before due to the old carb.
