    350x shock into a 200x

Well, I finally did it. I got a 350x shock into a 200x. It was quite a bit harder then I expected. But after a couple of attempts I finally got it right, and the benefits are totally worth it.

first attempt...I did a direct replacement of the 200x shock with the 350x shock. Took a lot of work, only to find out that there was no way that it was going to work. lets just say it was kinda like mounting a horse :?

I slept on it for a couple of days and came up with a solution, and it worked out perfectly.

second attempt...I relocated the pivot point on the bracket that connects the shock to the swingarm. This makes the conversion practically a drop in installation, and I am very happy with the results :-D

Here's a pic of the bracket, and a pick of the trike.

More pictures and more details please. I'm thinking about doing the same thing to my trike when I fix it because my rear shock is blown. One other question. How much did it increase your ride height, if any, and if it did, how does it handle in off-camber situations?
It ain't no fun unless you kin git hurt doin it.

As you can probably see from the pic, I finished the job kinda late. I will definitely post more details on the conversion and details on improvements in the ride. I haven't had a chance to ride it yet but I can already tell that Im gonna like it. I weigh close to 200lbs and I can put all of my weight onto the 6-pack rack and bounce :bounce it and still cant make it bottom out, as a matter of fact the plastic sits about 4" away from my 22" tires at full compression (as much compression as I can put on it) After I take it for a ride I'll post more info and pics.

I am so pleased with the way this thing handles, especially on the jumps.
