AGreed, $600 for a person doing a full garage queen resto, is good. My trike will be a daily driver & thrasher (we don't go around things in the woods) so I can't justify spending that on something that will get scratched up in less than a year.

Sorry I HAVE TO DISAGREE you guys on your comment, 600 bucks for a better and brighter color red for a full set that is better quality ready to bolt on, ..I f you buy a full set from maier,, maybe be saving 150 bucks or so, maybe and have to drill your own holes hoping you measured right ,cut shave,, Come on guys.. I have seen Maier's plastic, grant it they may be tuff but are butt ugly in the brick red color and fitment is not all that great, . Cough up a couple more bucks are you have Nice looking machine with plastic that will stand up to Maier. I am all for new plastics, maybe paying the same as original oem prices but not all that high if you ask me. I am not trying to argue here but I think all new ATC250R plastics would be a supurb accomplishment and many will agree.

I rebuilt EVERY part on my 86/87 200X. I beat the ever living snot out of it. I am NOT a restorer. I am someone who gets stuff mechanically up to date and then rides it. Branches , rocks, smashing into my friends does not bother me. I RIDE!!

I don't look at my plastic, I don't look at the tank; I don't want cracks or rips in the seat but I can't make a 25yo trike that I ride perfect. It comes out dirty and goes back in dirty. I'd rather dump money on motor/carb/exhaust mods then worry about perfection.

You my friend I admire and respect, I've seen your vids, seen your restores and they are all fine and dandy but I don't want a conversational piece, I want "look at that nut on a three wheeler!!"

Plastic or whatever, the demise of trikes is coming. Simple small seemingly insignificant parts will be discontinued. Then what? Pretty plastic but I can't ride it?

Again, I admire your enthusiasm but sooner or later if were true trike riders, were gonna need to build hybrids with available parts. Then those will dry up and we'll do it again........

Mind you all, these are my thoughts and doesn't mean I don't want 600$ in plastic. Someday I may but for now the Maiers are fine and I couldn't care less if my front brake line goes thru my fender. As long as it doesn't get bunched up, were good...............

Dirtcrasher for you I will make an acception on the maiers and we are fortunate that they do make plastics or we would have not many replacement parts right now, you do ride hard and balls to the wall from what I know of ya.lol. but there are alot of us that want this and I think the ATC is here to stay for a long time. One last note I have great respect for you dirtcrasher, you have alot of knowlege in the ATC community also.

200x350xtriz250 has the 86-87 200x tank shroud repros and they are on the spot match, I think you can get them in any color you want. As for the headlight shells it will take some time , they will be working on them starting this week.

Why do people keep saying the new maier fenders have to be drilled? We sell a couple sets of them a week and I've yet to see them needing the holes drilled out. And yes, their shiny plastic is very nice.

^ I had some ols sets that were dull and had to be drilled, but every set I've bought for quite a few years needed no drilling. Their products may not have all the bells and whistles but they work for me.

If I get working again and have the $$, I'd grab a set of matching stuff for another build, but white is pretty much white

Thats why I have a red CLARKE tank on my 87 250SX and white front and rear plastic from Maier, it breaks it up and I'm happl with it. I actually got the "dull" blem fender for 70$ maybe 8 years ago or so; Of course it runs a 350X headlight, all my trikes do

Hope your well NINJA!! I gotta catch up w/ ya soon!

To clear up a few questions from above. They are talking about making the tank cover/shroud piece for the 85/86 R only as this tank is plastic and cannot be easily painted. The reason they will not make shrouds, fenders and headlights to match the oem red is that they don't want to or can't get the raw material. He told me they buy 5000 lbs of plastic material at a time and their color is the red/gold pearl. He had no interest or discussion on matching oem colors. I did not discuss any other colors with him.

I called the number on the web site and talked to a super nice, and very knowledgable guy. Anyone here can do the same and if enough call and ask about the same thing, then they probably would make it. He was very inquizitive about what I thought people would buy if they made it. I was only interested in 86R parts and I have all new oem except rear fenders so I am in a bind.

I just want to keep everyone updated, the 1986-87 ATC200X headlight bezels should be ready in 2-3 weeks, FULLBORE is working on the tooling as we speak. I just got an email from Grant and he will keep me posted on this, I am very interested on how these turn out.

I would be interested in the ful bore plastics. My stock 86 200x rear fenders have no cracks, just a bad stain on the lower left side because the previous owner let the leaky tank drip gas on the fender which discolored the plastic.
