300EX Rear Brake on my 350X

I've been having problems with my rear brake housing for my 350x, so I took a trip to the local Honda shop to do some comparisons. It would be nice to have a new housing (I already have one, but it is waiting to go on the good bike), so I tried to match up parts with some new Honda quads. I looked at the 300EX rear housing and did some rough measurements. I think the rear housing will match up on my 350x. I made need to add a spacer here or there or shave a little metal, but the mounting holes seem to line up. Does anyone have both bikes and would you be able to verify my assumption? Bill, Billy, Howdy, what do you guys think?

On a side note, I went riding the other day with 2 Raptors and a Wolverine. Tight, muddy trail and me with no rear brake! Great time...had a few close ones.

    Some more info.

I researched some part #s. Check this out:

    93-00 Honda 300EX Fourtrax Rear Brake Caliper -- 43200-HM3-006
    01-pr Honda 300EX Sportrax Rear Brake Caliper -- 43250-HM3-305

    85-86 Honda 350x ------------------------------------- 43200-HA5-008

When I went to the dealer and looked at a 03 Honda 300EX rear brake caliper, I saw "HA5" printed on it. If I am interpreting these right, the Fourtrax and the Sportrax brake calipers should match up. Am I right? Thanks!

I think the housings are the same. The HA5 pretty much seals it. You might need to change the bracket that the caliper housing bolts to to mount it on your swingarm bracket( hence the slight difference in Honda part #), but other than that it sounds like a winner.
If I can't fix it, it ain't broke!!
